01. Product description
Dry microcapsules obtained by coacervation in order to preserve the integrity of linseed oil, which in its pure state is easily oxidizable. The transformation of the oil into a dry form allows excellent machinability and greater stability of the active ingredient. The particle size is on average included between 100 and 600 μm.
02. General information
Flaxseed oil, extracted from the seeds of Linum Usitatissimum, is rich in nutrients and is one of the few carrier oils with a high content of Omega-3 fatty acid and alpha-linolenic acid, both essential for our skin health." "It is an ultra-moisturizing oil with anti-inflammatory and healing properties, beneficial for restoring the conditions of the skin affected by a dietary lack of Omega-3.
The nutritional composition of edible flaxseed oil is rich in Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids [1]. All of these elements give this oil excellent anti-inflammatory properties.
Linseed oil contains high amounts of alpha linoleic acid and linoleic acid – the quantity may vary depending on the type of crop and the extraction method.
The intake of linseed oil, as a great source of lignans (a class of nutrients that resemble oestrogen), helps to balance abnormal hormonal values, especially in women [2].
In fact, the consumption and intake of flaxseed oil can help contrast the risk of osteoporosis, a condition in which the bones density decreases substantially."
